Analyses of the financial statements of three companies, each of which are in different sectors, are performed. Starbucks, Apple Inc., and H&M Group are the three companies chosen for this analysis. To understand better the financial health of each of the aforementioned companies, some liquidity ratios are computed. The DuPont, current liquidity, profit margin, financial leverage, and asset utilization ratios were calculated. Also discussed in this paper are the differences in the IASB and FASB measurement conventions in each sector and how these measurement conventions affect financial statement presentation.
