Accountability is being responsible. Showing up late for instance is not very good accountability. The need for accountability in the army is very crucial. Not only accountability of soldiers but of equipment and money. In my case I was not accounted for at 0550 in the battalion aid station. This is a no-go because as a unit you cant function properly if the personel are not present to accomplish the tasks at hand. Also without accountabilty the unit is not combat ready.
