I believe that Affirmative Action, while necessary, has run its course and is no longer needed. I feel this way because Affirmative Action is just and attempt to redress the history of racial and sexual discrimination. As Americans, we don’t need the policy in order to “level the playing field” and afford opportunities to those who don’t have them. Minorities and women through out the years made their own opportunities to achieve their own goals and dreams and Affirmative Action devalues those accomplishments.
