Affluenza
Affluenza is the condition of overload debt, anxiety and waste resulting from the pursuit of more. Unfortunately it is taking United States by storm. Greed and materialism plant the seed to this dreaded disease that affects people of all social classes. Today's society has imprinted the idea of "buy more, save less" into our heads. They do this through every form of media possible. The average person will see over one million advertisements by the age of twenty. We are let to believe that we cannot be happy without certain products and goods. More seems to be the motto of most Americans these days, but the fact is that Americans say their happiness reached its peak in 1957.
