According to Chapter 9 of the text: Essentials of Management Information Systems, E-Commerce businesses can be put into numerous categories to help consumers find exactly what they are looking for. The most common categories are consumer-to-consumer, business-to-business, business-to-business consumer, and M-commerce. Consumer-to-consumer according the text is when one consumer sells to another. Business-to-business according to pg. 317 is when a business sells to an individual buyer. According to pg. 319 of Chapter 9, M-commerce is when a purchase is made with a hand-held device such as a mobile phone. (Chapter 9, pp.317-319)
