Analysis Of Society During The Reign Of Kubilai Kahn

In this paper I will discuss the society reigned over by Kublai Kahn and elaborate on his great political success during his time, as well as his not-so-great political moves. Khan lived from 1215 to 1294. He was the grandson of Genghis Khan. He completed is Father’s conquest and conquered China and established the Yuan, or Mongol, dynasty. Khan translates to “Great Lord of Lords”; Kubilai Khan lived up to this title in many aspects of his reign. Although his reign was one of great affluence, his politics were pursued less successfully by some of his followers while cherished by the majority of them.
