Imagine being prepped for surgery, it could be for a heart transplant or a breast implant it makes no difference, lying on the operating table terrified wanting the operation to be over. The anesthesiologist comes over to you and asks you how you are doing; you tell him you’re ok and ready to get this surgery over with, so he injects the anesthetics. You start to feel calm and relaxed, he asks you to count down from one hundred. So you start: one hundred, ninety-nine, ninety-eight, ninety-seven, then you start to fall asleep but you realize you’re not really asleep.
