Government control: the government in Anthem is very powerful and controlling through out the novel. The government starts to pull people into their grasp as soon as they are babies, putting them in nurseries with bland and dull environments. When they enter the house of the infants that’s where the process continues of making clones that will obey the world council and they continue on into a version of school that teaches very limited amount of knowledge while imbedding the concepts of collectivism and shun individualism.
