What claims are being made?
The claims being made in this story was that the driver of a big rig, William Gonzales, was standing on the median attempting to cross the freeway to assist in an accident when he was hit by another driver who hit a patch of ice and lost control, killing William.
Do the claims conflict with your personal observations?
The claims do conflict with my personal observations. The truck driver in this story happened to be my father, and according to the police report, he was not standing on the median. He and a CalTrans worker had already crossed the road and were assisting the driver of the Jeep who had gone over...
