Spc Smith has always had the aspiration to join the Armed Forces. So soon after smith graduated from high school he set off to do just that. Not long after arriving at his first duty station Smith’s learned that his unit would soon be deploying to Afghanistan. During his tour Smith’s true character was tested. While out on a mission his platoon was ambushed. Under enormous pressure Smith took charge and order his platoon to take cover and return fire, killing the enemy and completing the mission. Smith would later be awarded with the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions.
