Autism is a neurological disorder which affects the way a child interacts with the world around them. It limits a person’s ability to communicate with other people. It may even keep a person from any verbal communication at all. Autism can be diagnosed as early as birth, but some children may not show any signs until about the age of three. There is no actual cure for autism, but a better understanding of this disorder can help an autistic person live a fulfilling life.
