Charles Foster Kane, as portrayed by Orson Wells, is running for a Governor position in his state. A campaign rally sets the stage for a speech given to sway votes in his favor. Charles Kane’s speech contains biases, fallacies, and rhetorical devices to appeal to the voters’ emotional response.
Fallacies are illogical arguments meant purely to play on the emotions in an attempt to change opinions, or portray information in a particular way.
