Biff’s Misunderstood Dreams
The play “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller centers on what may seem like an average 1950’s family. Willy Loman has raised two healthy sons who are now out of the house and living their own lives; but because of what Willy has gone through in his own life by almost raising himself in the business world, his views of his son Biff are shameful ones to say the least. Biff’s life working out on a farm annoys Willy because Biff is not making a lot of money. Willy has always told Biff he would be successful, but by not going into the formal suit-and-tie business world Biff has become a failure in Willy’s eyes....
