A reported plan to build a massive research facility with 10,000 people at Pinjarra Hills, west of Brisbane, is simply a "hypothetical" exercise formulated by urban planning students at the University of Queensland.
The hypothetical is a combination of eight proposals put together by masters students, which include concepts for a bridge across to Westlake, shopping centres, parks and bikeways.
The Courier Mail today reported: "Planning is under way by the University of Queensland to build a new research-based centre on 280ha of prime riverfront land at Pinjarra Hills.
