I do believe that the human race can harvest private or government forests in an eco-friendly way. Currently, the US forest service has to balance corporate politics with environmental politics using a concept called management practices. Management practices were created many years ago to help protect the balance of environmental protection with political interests. This does not bode well for the environment now as the policies are changing to meet today’s population growth. Due to the notorious government red tape, the US Forest service cannot practice forest management the way they believe it could benefit the environment.
