Throughout the history of mankind, most civilizations have had some kind of belief system or religion. However, in Asia, two main religions are the practice of Buddhism and Hinduism. Both Hinduism, which is one of the least understood but most ancient living religions in the world, and Buddhism, which dominated the world before the great decline originated in the Indian subcontinent and share a very long, but rather peculiar and uncomfortable relationship, which in many ways is comparable to that of Judaism and Christianity.
