Larceny in Honolulu is a problem. In 2007 27, 483 cases of larceny and theft was reported to the authorities (USACitylink.com, 2007).I feel the connection is tourism. According to USA City link Honolulu population in 2007 was 905,903(USACityLink.com, 2007) compared to Belmont county’s population that is only about 70,000(city-data.com, 2007).There were 27,483 cases of larceny reported in Honolulu in 2007 where as in Belmont county there was only 346. Many people go to Honolulu for vacation and not many people come to Belmont County to vacation. City-data reports that Honolulu’s income below poverty level in 2007 was 8.6% and residents with income below 50% poverty level was 4.6%...
