Civil Rights in the Sixty
After World War II, American society was in much turmoil, many African Americans who fought in the World War II demanded changes in our society. The African Americans who fought in World War II wanted to have equality, to be treated just like the other White American soldiers they were fighting alongside of in the war. To come home and not be treated like second class citizens, to be treated with the respect, as any soldier who fought for our freedoms should be treated.
