Cold War
The Cold War was a period of tension and uproar between the Soviet Union and the United States of America. There is no particular date on when the war started, but we do know it started mid 1940’s after the Second World War. World War II left Europe in ruins while U.S.S.R. and the USA took the two major power positions throughout the world. The Cold War was basically a power struggle that lasted till the late 1980’s between these two nations with each having there own view and ideas on military, political, and economic affairs. Within this war, both parties never actually fought in war against each other the way we fought together against the Germans in the Second World War.
