Competitive Analysis
The business I am analyzing is CHWV-FM in Saint John, which is also better known as 97.3 the Wave. This modern adult music radio station focuses on the music featuring only the best from the late 90’s and today, which is mostly pop and soft rock music. There are many other music radio stations competing with the Wave, such as the CIOK-FM, CKBW-FM, others in Acadian Broadcasting Inc., and the Maritime Broadcasting System. This paper will give an analysis on the Wave’s online competitors by utilizing Porter’s Five Forces Model.
