When we hear the term “Cosmetic Surgery,” our first thoughts are of Hollywood starlets or the rich and famous. However, every year in the United States alone, there are thousands of cosmetic surgeries performed for various reasons. Most surgeries are an attempt at appearing to be what society deems beautiful. Although associated primarily with beauty, there are procedures done for medical reasons and as a way to regain some sense of normalcy in life.
