Criminal Capacity

What is the definition of Justification? Justification is the act of justifying. When justifying an act the person is defending or explaining the reason behind the action. In a court of law justification is used to show sufficient lawful reason why the defendant committed his or her act, which he or she is being prosecuted for. The definition of justification is very different from excuse. The justification procedure is used by the defendant’s attorney(s) to show that the action committed was reasonable or necessary, valid or free of blame. The use of an “excuse” is to explain why the offense was committed in hope that the person(s) can be forgiven or understood.
