To me, race refers to a person’s skin color or other obvious physical traits. Ethnicity refers to a person’s background, such as where they and their ancestors came from. Examples of race would be Caucasian, African American, and Asian. Examples of ethnicity traits are language, cultural traditions, and religious choices.
