The “Real†Backstage
Long, thick cables are coiled and slithering along the ground as if in a lair of a thousand snakes. The intervals of duct tape are the only indicator that these are the non-venomous kind. Beads of perspiration are glistening on the foreheads of the gripmen as they work feverishly to set-up hundreds of cameras, at the perfect angle, under the bright 100 degree lights. People are pacing around in a hurry-up-and-wait fashion with enough nervous energy to power the entire show.
