Schizophrenia is a chronic, very severe and disabling brain disease. It’s a somewhat rare disorder, which affects men and women both in equal frequency. More than 2 million Americans suffer from this illness in one year. Studies have shown that approximately 1 percent of all the population will develop schizophrenia during their lifetime.
