Addiction is defined as being compulsively occupied with something. Alcoholism is being addicted to alcohol or any intoxicating liquid. Some people are drinking cough medicine to fulfill this need nowadays. While alcohol is indeed a legal substance for adult usage, some people don’t realize the effect that it has from long term use. The physical dependency of alcoholism can lead to problems with speech and muscle failure as well as nervous system issues. The psychological aspect of being addicted to alcohol as well as drugs starts early on, and makes it easy to notice that a person is going through a change.
