“An imperfect body reflects an imperfect person.” This is something that a person with an eating disorder would think or say. Eating disorders are types of mental illnesses. They affect 90% of women in their teens through their early twenties. 5-10% are men. (Whelan 17) The three main eating disorders are Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and the Binge Eating disorder, also called Compulsive Over-eating.
