Each year more than two million elderly people experience some form of elderly abuse. Elderly abuse occurs when someone commits physical, emotional or psychological harm to an elderly person. For each incidence of elderly abuse reported, there are at least three others that go unreported. There are many types of elderly abuse. Three of the most common types are physical abuse, neglect by caregiver and financial exploitation.
