Erikson's Eight

Erikson's eight stages of life consist of specific events for each stage which are directly related to how and why each of these stages are related to each of us individually. The Middle Adulthood (40 to 65 years) stage relates to work and parenthood. In this stage adults need to create or nuture things that will live long after they are deceased. People generally have children to pacify this growing desire to procreate and nuture someone that will carry on their legacy in some way.
