Defining Race and Ethnicity
Being of mixed nationality and race, I have had little understanding the difference of the two until now. As a Korean, Dutch-Indonesian, Chinese, German & Japanese female, I get lots of questions like what nationality am I; where am I from; and things of that sort. I will be explaining to you what race and ethnicity mean in my perspective. Then I will go over the concepts and why they are important to our society in the U.S.
