For years, it has been a constant battle of with whether homosexuals should adopt a child or not in the state of Florida. Even though, they are privileged to be foster parents and legal guardians, these gay individuals and lesbians were not permitted to adopt a child or children due to the Florida law. Because of this a lot of controversy has took place since the law is blatantly a discrimination law and a rational basis scrutiny; penalizing people and raping them from their rights because of their sexual orientation.
