So we’ve all heard that our planet is getting hotter due to global warming and the greenhouse effect, but not a lot of people understand how this is happening and what this will cause in our future. So what is the greenhouse effect? The energy that sustains life comes from the sun, mostly as visible light, clouds reflect a small part back into space, but most of it is absorbed by the earth’s surface and warms up the planet. This is our only natural source of heat, without it, the world would be in subzero temperatures.
