Greece is a country in Europe that is located south of the Balkan Peninsula, and has been a member the European Union since 1981. Greece’s land barriers are Bulgaria, Albania, and Turkey. The native name for Greece is, Ellas or Ellada. Athens is the capital and the largest city in Greece. The primary language that is spoken in Greece is Modern Greek, but not everyone uses it as their primary language. English and French are also spoken since there is a lot of tourism.
