Hinduism is considered the world’s third largest religion; it is also one of the oldest religions still practiced. There are different aspects of Hinduism also referred to as Dharma, which has four main denominations--Saivism, Shaktism, Vaishnavism and Smartism. Hinduism is used as a broad range term coined by the British during the Indian Contenent occupation. There are different Dharma’s; each has its own central figure. In the North, Sri Krishna is mostly worshipped as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Likewise, in the South the presiding Deity is Sri Siva (Shiva).
