Vikings: Raiders From The North is a non-fiction book on the Vikings and who they were. It starts with the finding of a Viking ship at Gokstad in April of 1880. As I read, facts that I had not known became known as I read they’re history. The major known history, and a quite fascinating one, starts about 859AD, when “Going a-Viking” became a year-round profession. The term “Going a-Viking” means to raid someone of their valuables.
