Information systems (IS) collect, process, and distribute information to meet an objective or goal. Information systems are everywhere. This paper will examine the monetary savings, effectiveness, advantages, and risks of two different information systems, picture archiving and communications software (PACS) used by the North Bronx Healthcare Network and Quantum View Manage, a web-based software created by the United Parcel Service (UPS) for its customers.
