In Islam there is no real creed to follow in order for one to be considered a Muslim. You must believe and recite the Shahada, which is “There is no God but God, and Muhammad is his prophet”. Beyond this core belief you must follow the Six Articles of Faith to be considered a Muslim.
The first of the six articles of faith is God. It is believed that there is only one God. God has no parents, children, associates or partners, it is just him.
