Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre must overcome many traumatic experiences throughout her life but despite all of her misfortunes she winds up with the life she always wanted. They begin at an early age. She is an orphan who is raised by her aunt Mrs. Reed, a cruel, wealthy woman. One day, as punishment for fighting with her bullying cousin, Jane’s aunt imprisons Jane in the red-room. While locked in, Jane, believing that she sees her uncle’s ghost, screams and faints. Someone suggests that Jane should be sent away to a school called Lowood, and her aunt agrees. Jane is excited to go, and she becomes friends with a girl named Helen. A massive typhus epidemic sweeps her school, and Helen dies of consumption....
