Nowadays, as jobs require employees to have multiple skills, employee are tend to learn more than one skills to be able to find more competitive salary jobs.
I think that people staying in one job for life time rarely happens now, because of 2 main reasons. Firstly, as the content of job gets more complex and for employee encourage and attracting excellent staff, company starts to offer competitve salary. Especially, in the same industry, if other company offers higher salary packages for the same staff, he might select the company with better salary package.
