Sir John Desmond Patrick Keegan, a British Military Historian lecturer, and journalist is very commonly known for his many works relating to the combat of the fourteenth through twenty first centuries. He was born on May 15, 1934 in Clapham, a district in south London, England. Keegan studied at Kings College Taunton, Wimbledon College, and Balliol College Oxford. For three years after he graduated college he worked at the American Embassy in London.
