As I continue to pursue an understanding of Methodism, I have found it is necessary to understand the foundation upon which Methodism is based. I am filled with questions regarding what Methodism is really about, and what Methodism looked like in the early years. Therefore, I find it preduient to discover who John Wesley, the founding father of Methodism, was both personally and theologically.
