“I want to help!” I want to help!” are the chants I sang as a young child, watching my grandmother cook her famous, fluffy, butter biscuits, on those hot summer days or bake her famous caramel cake, that we all fought for, on Christmas. Unlike most children my favorite part about baking a cake wasn’t licking the bowl, or eating the delectable finished product, but in fact it was actually the process of making the cake that I so truly enjoyed.
