Little Anthony and the Imperials is a rhythm, blues, soul, doo-wop vocal group and was founded in the 1950s. The people in this musical group are Jerome Anthony Gourdine, Ernest Wright Jr., Clarence Collins, and Sammy Strain. Little Anthony & the Imperials enjoyed one of the longest career runs of any doo wop group, adapting their honey-smooth style to fit the sweet uptown soul sound.
Jerome Anthony Gourdine is the lead singer, producer, and writer of the group. He was born in 1940 in New York City and lived in Brooklyn for thirty years of his life.
