Native American Pollution Legislation
A very important and current issue between Native Americans and the federal government is pollution. Specifically, this issue regards land and water contamination of Native American lands and reservations by spent radioactive fuel. This spent radioactive fuel is known as radioactive waste. It comes in the form of radioactive sludge, buried cans of waste, and contaminated pools or water around Native American lands.
