Overcoming Obstacles

“The illiterate of the future will not be the person who cannot read. It will be the person who does not know how to learn,” (ThinkExist). This quote was written in 1928 by an American author of science fiction, Alvin Toffler, and that quote holds true until this day. In “The Joy of Reading and Writing: Superman and Me,” by Sherman Alexie, he writes about the difficulties that he experienced as a child overcoming the intellectual limit that was put upon his culture, in this case American Indians.
