Should The Drinking Age Be Lower?

In the United States, it is not legal to buy or drink alcohol until the age of twenty one. At the age of eighteen, a person can drive, pay taxes, marry, buy cigarettes, join the armed forces, and even vote to the decide the fate of the countries next leaders; yet a grown person cannot drink alcohol or purchase it. In countries where the drinking age is lower there are fewer problems with drunk driving and binge drinking. Binge drinking is irresponsible, heavy drinking under the disguise of fun and games. It is very common in colleges and universities in America today and is rising to an alarming rate.
