Socilized Medicine
To most the words “Socialized medicine” automaticky sets off alarms. As Americans we equate socialized medicine with communism and govermental control. As a capitalist nation we are programed to be fearfull of anything, we believe, would threaten our freedoms. Our government calls on us to be patriotic, to stand behind our country, because our way is the best way. If it wasn’t, then why would the greatest country on Earth, be doing it? If that were true, then why are we the only industrialized nation that does not gaurentee healthcare as a right of citizenship? It has been hammered into our heads that socialized medicine is less effeciant, more costly, and would compramise...
