Dear Angela,
By taking your English class, I have made a start at grasping a few of my strengths as a writer. Then again, I stumbled on many weaknesses I possess too. At first, I believed I was awful at writing, but my mind began to change after I received an A on the first paper. The first paper offered me a chance to really explore my vocabulary as well as expand upon it. I had to search for new words to avoid repetition while also making sure the emotion expressed in the word was right for the rhetorical context of the letter.
