1.) In the movie The Breakfast Club, Erickson’s Model of Adolescent Development is revealed. The stages are shown by each of the characters maturing along with each other as time goes on. They go from the stage of Trust vs. Mistrust all the way to the stage of Integrity vs. Despair as the movie Progresses. Not only do the students change, but the principal also goes through some of the developmental stages also.
As the movie starts off every character is at the stage of Trust vs. Mistrust, which in Erickson’s model goes from the age of 0-1. All of the students and the principal are not comfortable with everyone around them. They all feel as if they don’t...
