Before the UCC and the UCITA, the first and the most significant of the US governments attempts to promote uniformity in commercial laws from state to state is the Commerce clause, in the United States constitution, which states that states that Congress has the exclusive authority to manage commerce between the states, with foreign nations, and Indian tribes.
